The Condobolin Argus is owned by the community it serves. It is a tabloid newspaper that is published Wednesday's weekly. Circulation is audited by the Circulation Audit Bureau (CAB).
The Condobolin Argus serves the entire Central West region, circulating in the towns, villages and rural areas across the Lachlan Shire - a population of more than 8,500 people. Many of the towns in the region are considered isolated, and in some areas, The Condobolin Argus is the only local newspaper the community has access to. It has strong support from readers, contributors and advertisers and in doing so reflects the spirit of the local community.
The Condobolin Argus receives contributions from the surrounding towns. Readers are encouraged to promote their organisations or share community issues, successes and concerns. We publish news in the form of editorial, notes, results, and photographs for sporting groups, schools, charities, clubs and businesses.
